While vacationing in The Villages of central Florida, Harlan Nye took me on a tour of garden railroads in the area. Unfortunately in the excitement I forgot to takes pictures at Harlan’s.
Harlan took us to visit Bob Allen for a tour of his Paradise Valley Railroad. It is a large railway of three, large, independent loops. The loops are track powered and controlled with an Aristo-Craft Train Engineer. There are no switches, as Bob enjoys just sitting back and watching the trains run.
Bob also enjoys building his own buildings, and there are plenty of them on his railway.
On the day we visited Bob, he was running his recently purchased LGB Mikado.
The last railway we visited was built by Tom Higgins who has a detailed railway in his backyard.

We live in Goose Creek SC. My son lives in Ormond Beach. Would like to start visiting some of the layouts that are in the area.
